A consultant with GG+A since 1995, Dick Carter has been an advancement and fundraising professional with educational and academic medical institutions for over 40 years.

Dick’s past experience includes his work as vice president for development and university relations at The American University in Washington, D.C., where he oversaw all aspects of the University’s advancement program and planned the completion of its $100 million Centennial Campaign.

While serving as vice president for university relations at Bucknell University, he executed the second phase of The Campaign for Bucknell, an $85 million program that produced more than $90 million in facilities, endowment and operations support.

He also directed the University of Pennsylvania’s fundraising program as assistant vice president and director of development. Before that, he managed part of the University’s $225 million capital campaign as director of corporate and foundation relations.

In addition to his fundraising experience, Dick has a background in public relations and, at one time, served as a partner in his own firm. He holds a bachelor’s degree from The American University.
