Glen Fendley offers clients broad experience working with diverse nonprofit environments, having collaborated with numerous organisations and institutions in Denmark, Ireland, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and the United States. With over a decade’s success in large-scale initiatives and a proven track record in implementing best practices, Glen has provided counsel on strategic planning, campaign readiness, major gift fundraising, Board development and staff training.
Prior to joining GG+A in 2008, Glen served as the campaign director for Pestalozzi International Village, where he engaged Board members in major gift fundraising, some for the first time, and worked to develop a new alumni network.
Before that, as the head of GF Consulting/3rd Solutions, he worked with senior development professionals, chief executives, board leaders and new philanthropists throughout the United Kingdom. His clients have included: Royal Society of Wildlife Trusts, Kent University, Action Medical Research, Strathclyde University (CADISPA), Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation, The Woodland Trust, Duke of Edinburgh International Awards Scheme and the Big Issue Foundation, amongst others. He was instrumental in securing six- and seven-figure gifts for a number of clients.
During his prior tenure as director of development for the Marine Stewardship Council, he generated significant new sources of long-term support. Before that, as head of trusts and major support for WWF-UK (World Wildlife Federation), he increased e-mail giving by 18 percent and upgraded mid-level donor giving by 130 percent, amongst other accomplishments. He also served at The Children’s Society, one of the UK’s largest children’s charities, where he established the Society’s first major gifts programme in his role as head of major donors.
Glen holds a BSc Hons in management studies from the University of Aston.
