Dana Hall School

In 2005, Dana Hall School began planning a $30 million fundraising campaign with the primary objective of growing the school’s endowment to benefit its academic, student life, financial aid and faculty professional development programs, in addition to supporting faculty salaries.  The School turned to Grenzebach Glier and Associates for counsel on campaign feasibility, goal setting and donor prospect identification.

GG+A guided the school through a development program review, interviewing staff members and volunteer leaders; reviewing development, alumnae and parent program records; and analyzing benchmarking data.  The firm then assessed Dana Hall’s case for support, the perceived depth and breadth of its prospect pool, and the readiness of its administrative and volunteer leadership to lead the campaign ahead. In turn, Dana Hall expanded its staff to increase alumnae outreach, donor cultivation and annual fund growth.  GG+A also provided counsel on campaign strategy, donor identification, goal-setting and communications.  The firm also provided volunteer and staff training and, working with the Development staff,  developed methods to continually expand the pool of prospective major donors.

In October of 2007, Dana Hall launched the public phase of its campaign with over $23 million dollars secured in gifts and pledges and anticipates successfully reaching – if not exceeding – the campaign goal by the campaign’s conclusion in June 2009.
