Consulting Vice President

Jane Rae Bradford has worked in higher education fundraising for more than 29 years, with much of that time in the area of planned giving. Since joining GG+A in 2004, Jane has been successful in helping clients initiate, assess or restart planned giving programs at a variety of institutions. She is often asked by clients to review a planned giving program with an eye towards increasing annual gift totals. She typically works with a client's planned giving gift officer or newly hired planned giving director to set goals and objectives.

Jane has held front-line fundraising positions at Princeton University, Bryn Mawr College, Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution and Bridgewater State College. She is Director of Gift Planning at Carnegie Mellon University, where she is actively involved in Carnegie Mellon’s $1 billion campaign. Her ability to work with major gift officers has resulted in many collaborative outright and planned gifts.

Jane holds a bachelor’s degree in education and a master’s degree in history from Bridgewater State University in Bridgewater, Mass. She taught school in Massachusetts for eight years before beginning her fundraising career at MIT in 1980.

Selected GG+A client work has included:

– Lucile Packard Foundation for Children's Health, a comprehensive review of the planned giving program and its integration with other fundraising areas

– Wake Forest University, assessment of the planned giving program and staffing needs in preparation for the next campaign
