Jane K. Hayden joined Grenzebach Glier and Associates (GG+A) in 2005 as Vice President and Managing Director with more than 20 years' experience in advancement for higher education.
Prior to GG+A, she served as Pro Vice Chancellor for University Advancement at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) in Sydney, Australia, and Chief Executive Officer of the UNSW Foundation. Jane was originally recruited from the US to envision and grow UNSW's nascent advancement program and to play a public leadership role in the development of university advancement in Australia. Reporting to the University's president, Jane oversaw all development and corporate marketing, fundraising, alumni relations, communications, donor relations, university events, advancement information technology and services, and the UNSW Foundation.
While there, she planned and implemented significant growth in the University's advancement capacity as a high priority objective of the UNSW's overall vision and long-term strategic and operational plans. Jane also worked to advance UNSW's public profile and represent the University to its various publics, nationally and internationally, through high-profile speeches, publications, events, and professional and government forums.
Prior to joining UNSW, Jane served as Senior Associate Vice President and Director of Development for Brown University, where she devised and implemented successful strategies for major, planned, and annual leadership gifts; annual, reunion, and parent giving; and the Brown Sports Foundation. She also collaborated in setting the overall strategic direction for the development operation including communications, research, donor relations, gift recording, and information systems. She previously served as Assistant Dean for Development and Alumni Relations for the University of Pennsylvania Law School and as Executive Director of Individual Giving at the Colorado School of Mines, after serving in numerous positions throughout the School's major capital campaign.
Additionally, Jane has served as an educational consultant, teacher, and freelance writer. She holds degrees in philosophy and religion from the University of Southern California. Jane has been a speaker at numerous events with a focus on higher education fundraising, including the AustralAsia Conference on Development and Alumni Relations, Australian Universities Conference on Human Resources, the Australian Assocation of Development and Alumni Professionals in Education, the Ivy Conference on Development, and others. She is a past member of the Board of Directors of the Bell Shakespeare Company Foundation in Sydney.

– The Sydney Opera House, assistance in the Opera House’s groundbreaking work to establish a fundraising operation, including plans for a leadership annual giving program and a major campaign in 2008
– University of California, San Diego, guidance in designing organizational strategies and tactics for post-campaign growth following the successful $1 billion Imagine What’s Next, the University’s first-ever comprehensive campaign; oversight for campaign planning for UCSD Health Sciences
– Mayo Clinic, detailed campaign planning for the Clinic's $1.25 billion campaign, including re-designing development operations to more fully support front-line fundraising
– The California Institute of the Arts, ongoing campaign counsel for a $125 million campaign which exceeded the goal one year ahead of schedule
– City of Hope, strategic campaign readiness assessment of the organization’s Industry Relations program
– The Ohio State University, campaign readiness counsel and assistance in a major revision of the university’s leadership annual giving recognition program
– Marymount College, development of an institutional plan to significantly grow private support for the College
